Number Colors

Alan asked me one day what color a number was. Surprisingly, as we said what color we thought each number was, they were often the same!

Well, just for kicks, here's what colors the numbers are to me:

Google synesthesia - it's an interesting topic. I associate colors with numbers, but probably not to your extent. I do, however, correlate months and smells with various colors.

OK, you are all just a bit 'sick' in my mind.

Colors are just changes in light frequency.

Numbers are representations of ordinal counting.

Smells are chemical reactions in your nasal cavity.

Days of the week are arbitrary ways to show weekly cycles.

I must have synesthesia amnesia! This makes no sense to me at all.

I can clearly remember ever since I learned my numbers in preschool that each number is either male or female and related to one another. 1 is the baby girl, 2 a toddler boy, 3 the older brother, 4 the mom, 5 the dad, 6 is 5's friend, 7 is 5's mom, 8 is 5's dad, 9 is 8's friend who 7 doesn't approve of and 10 is the grandpa everyone loves. But I never thought about color...hum I'll have to think about it.
