I'm a wife, mother of six and nanajan to seven. I love caring for my family and home and anything that takes me outside: walking, gardening, hiking and cross-country skiing. I was recently diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease)
Let us then labor for an inward stillness~ An inward stillness and an inward healing; That perfect silence, where the lips and heart Are still, and we no longer entertain Our own imperfect thoughts and vain opinions, But God alone speaks in us, and we wait In singleness of heart, that we may know His will, and in the silence of our spirits That we may do His will, and do that only!
We've been in a mess this week getting our wood floor refinished and adding wood to the hallway. It sure does look nice and tomorrow we can start putting everything back where it goes.
A lot of the furniture is squished in the family room, some in the garage and the cushions from the corner sofa are in my staroom. It's going to be a big job putting it all back tomorrow. Thank goodness for Brian and Trevor who do all the heavy lifting.

Wow, that looks great, Mom. Where did you put all the furniture!?

A nice report on Visiting Teaching. That is what life is about, helping others and serving. Glad your floors turned out great.
Love the new floors. They look great even though I know it was a lot of work. You have a beautiful home and keep it so nice.
