New Dining Room Curtains

The blue/white toile curtains that I had in the dining room just didn't go with the feel of the new chairs with tapestry on them. I actually redid the curtains just using fabric and lace and curtain rods that I already had. I just happened to have the lace in the cedar chest downstairs and I thought it went nicely with the tapestry. The blue fabric I bought when I worked at Upstairs Downstairs and I LOVE it. I used it first for a duvet cover for my bed, then I made curtains and a tablecloth from it. I used it again for these curtains. I just wanted to cover the blinds and give a finishing touch to the lace in the dining room. I remade the valances in the kitchen and sitting room. Originally I made them with white lining, but it tended to show sometimes, so I remade them with navy lining. I like that there's a continuing theme to the three windows with the same fabric and flooring in the three rooms.

You can see the old curtains in this photo

I love this swirly navy pattern

it's hard to see in this picture but there's a blue swirl fabric header which the lace is attached to

As Sophie would say, "You are a designer, Nana!" They look great! You are crafty.

Ditto to what Jenny said. I didn't know Sophie thinks of you as a designer. (Which you are)
