Michael's Hump Day!

One year ago today we took Michael to the MTC.  It seems like a long time since I've seen him!  Last week at the ward party, several people told me that this year has gone by fast for them.  I feel like it has gone so slowly, partly due to my illness.  I'm so grateful to be on the downward slope for Michael's mission.  I feel bad that Michael is not coming home to the same mother he left.

Oh Janet, you are always in my prayers and thoughts (and prayer roll at temple.) You are such an amazing strong woman. If anything Michael is coming home to an even more amazing stronger woman. I love you with all my heart and you are such a great example to me.

I was going to say the same thing! Michael is coming home a to a woman who might be physically less able, but who is more spiritually mature--not to mention very brave in the face of adversity. You are the type of woman any son would be proud of!

For the few days when we thought Price had a degenerative disorder, I wondered if I would be able to show the same courage that you demonstrate here, and be able to remain positive. Sometimes it takes the worst to bring out the best, and you are such an inspiration to so many people!

Your body may not be the same but your pure heart has not changed. Your heart is right and I admire, respect and love you. Your faith in adversity is teaching and helping me and so many others on life's journey. Michael's mission and his service and devotion in serving the Lord is a tribute to you.

My dear daughter! I have always known you had a special spirit, but this last year has shown me just how much courage you have to go along with the wonderful faith you possess. I agree with all the others have stated and then some. You have exhibited to your children and others what it means to "endure to the end". You have been honest with Michael on the life skills you have lost so I think he knows what to expect on his return. I think part of the reason he has been such an excellent missionary is because he knows how important it is to you and this is his part in helping you!
